WHAT IS SUTTON ESTATE?
Sutton Estate is located in the Heart of the Hunter Valley and is known as the fun activity place. We have the Wine Escape Room, HV Smash Room, Uncorked Axe Throwing, Electric Bikes Hire and the Chocolate Escape Room.
WHAT IS THE SMASH ROOM?
The Smash Room is a room that you can go in and smash wine bottles, plates and other glass items. It is designed as a stress reliever in the Hunter Valley.
WHAT IS THE WINE ESCAPE ROOM?
Glad you asked. It is the funnest way to do a wine tasting in the Hunter Valley. Want to taste wine in a fun activity - You have found it! Well teams of 2-15 go in as one team and have to work together to solve the clues and puzzles and get out before 60 minutes is up. Can you escape? Many people haven't done escape rooms before and we want to host your first experience or your 50th escape room. If you're a seasoned player or a newbie, we will try our utmost to make sure you enjoy the experience and will be looking for Escape Rooms all through Australia, when you're hooked. We take group booking over 2 and do not mix groups.

Update 24th March 2024. If your booking was before this date the policy is on your confirmation email.

Bookings can be rebooked or cancelled for free online only through your confirmation email prior to the day of your booking.

On the day of your bookings, no refunds or cancellations apply. If unforeseen circumstances arise we may be able to change the time only on the day, pending availability, for a charge of $25. Please notify us before your booking and we will do our best and try to accommodate you. After your booking time, we do not have the ability to refund, cancel or change your booking.

In regards to deposits, you need to confirm with us prior to the day of your booking. Numbers unfortunately cannot be changed on the day and you will be charged the confirmed amount of people through the system, even if you don't show. Payments can be made on the day and we accept card, after pay or cash payments in store.

In the unforeseen circumstances, Sutton Estate reserves the right to cancel any bookings and will give a full refund if we are not able to host your experience or offer another time.

Please do NOT ask us to waive our policy - It's our policy that we make as a business, as we have to refuse.

Gift Vouchers cannot be refunded to cash.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We do not recommend wearing high heels on any of our activities but you can dress tizzy if you like. The Wine Escape Room, electric bikes and the Smash Room is best if you wear comfortable clothes. We are all about fun activities!
You must wear enclosed shoes for the Axe Throwing and please bring socks for the Smash Room.
DO YOU HAVE A RESTAURANT ON SITE?
Sorry no. But we have great options close by including Nineteen, Yellowbilly Restaurant, Peter Draytons Brewery and Muse Kitchen. All offering great lunch and dinner options. We have Cheese Platters you can order online, suitable for up to 4 people. If you have dietary requirements you can bring your own food but we do not remove the rubbish and you will need to sit one of of our picnic tables.
HOW DO I BOOK YOUR BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY SO I CAN STAY AND DO THE ACTIVITIES?
We run through Airbnb for accommodation. We also offer packages with the activities so please enquire when you book and we can tailor your package. We take up to 8 guests and min 2 nights
ARE THE ACTIVITIES SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?
Electric Bike Hire - Over 14 and height requirement of min 5.1 due to the height of the bikes.
Wine Escape Room - Over 10 and must be with parent/ guardian or with someone over 18 to sign waiver.
Smash Room - Over 16 must be with parent / guardian or with someone over 18 to sign waiver.
Axe Throwing - Over 16 must be with parent/ guardian or with someone over 18 to sign waiver.
Chocolate Escape - Must be able to walk. No pram access or with someone over 18 to sign waiver.
Kids between 16 to 18 must show proof of age card for the Smash Room.

WILL I BE IN A ROOM WITH PEOPLE I DON’T KNOW?
No, we do not combine groups in the Escape Room. We do combine groups in the Smash Room and the Axe Throwing areas.

CAN I BUY A GIFT CERTIFICATE?
Yes you can. Give the ultimate experience gift by buying a Sutton Estate Gift Certificate under buy now on the front page. You can buy it for any amount and they can pick which activity they would like and pick a date that suits them. Our certificates don't expire! Presents covered!
CAN I BE DRUNK?
UM NO! THATS A BIG NO. Especially for the Smash Room you will need to sign a waiver saying you're not under the influence of alcohol. Our activities although fun, are not suitable for drunk obnoxious people and we will kick you out. In saying that you can do wine tasting on the bikes and you do a tasting in the Escape Room, but tasting is classy and drunk is a whole different story. You need to stay under .05 as per the road rules.
I HAVE A CORPORATE GROUP OR PARTY?
We do corporate bookings and or parties but please let us know your requirement as we want to make your day special. We also have a corporate page you may want to check out and you can now book groups online and or the whole activity packages.
I CANT GET IN CONTACT BY PHONE
ARHHH if you have ever been in a Smash Room or an Escape Room it is impossible to answer the phone while we have a session on as we are concentrating on our customers. Please leave a message or better yet send us a text and we will get back to you.

CAN I GET A JOB AT SUTTON ESTATE?

WHAT IS THE TWO STIKE RULE?
At Sutton Estate, we have a two strike rule. If you get two warnings from our staff you will be kicked out with no refund and no goodbye. Our activities are designed for fun and not bad behaviour. We reserve the right to kick out any one we please, especially if you're affecting our happy customers.
PETS?
Unfortunately we are crazy pet people and we have paying guests, kids, horses, chickens, guard dogs and other pets on the property . We ask you NOT to bring other pets on the property as our animals can be upset and protect their domain and we hold no responsibly as per the waiver. We can recommend a dog sitter that can look after your pampered pooch.
OPENING HOURS
We are open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Bookings are essential online.
In the interest of our staff and your safety, if the temperature is over 40 degrees, we reserve the right to cancel bookings and will reschedule. We want our customers to have the best time possible, even though we are air-conditioned, they cannot cope in over 40 degrees.
